Property Reclamation for State Compensation for Illegally Denied Federal Funds and Services

Description

Empowers the governor to seize federal property within [State] to recover losses resulting from unlawful federal financial actions. Authorizes the governor to reclaim federal lands, buildings, or other assets if the federal government: (1) unlawfully withholds funds allocated to [State] under federal law, (2) unlawfully denies services that the federal government is obligated to provide, or (3) unlawfully imposes financial penalties on [State] in retaliation for exercising its constitutional authority. Reclaimed property may be sold, leased, or repurposed for public benefit to compensate for damages caused by federal misconduct.

This provision is enacted as part of the Restoration of Constitutional Governance and Protection of the People Act, either initially or by amendment, and the general provisions of the Act apply to it, including as to jurisdiction.
