Stop the Authoritarian Takeover: Pass the Restore the Constitution Act
State and local governments have the power to stop the authoritarian takeover and protect their
people. The Restore the Constitution Act is model legislation ready for adoption by any state government, and adaptable for localities.
The Act:

states the nature of the crisis and commits the state or locality to defend its people and work to restore constitutional governance;

creates a framework for forceful, strategic action targeting the authoritarian power structure, including measures to keep RCA cases in state court, neutralize federal interference with RCA enforcement, and coordinate with other jurisdictions that do the same;

empowers those harmed by illegal federal action to sue the responsible federal officials in state court, and so makes it costly to aid the authoritarian takeover;

empowers the state's attorney general to bring that action on behalf of the people;

empowers the governor or chief executive to apply the state's regulatory powers, over licenses, permits, contracts, and the like, against those who carry out or aid the takeover; and
-
is built for escalation: additional measures from Democratism's growing
Catalog of Legislative Actions can be plugged
into the Act to increase pressure on the federal government to return to constitutional
governance.
This is not another narrow response to one abuse. It is a new kind of response because we face a
new kind of threat: an assault on the whole constitutional order.
